I've said some fairly harsh things here about our governor, Jan Brewer. All in all, she's done an awful job, and needlessly consigned some of my fellow Arizonans to an early death. That's deserving of whatever harsh words are thrown her way.
But I also believe in credit where it's due, and this week Gov. Brewer surprised many of us by making the right choice on two significant issues, vetoing two ridiculous bills that the morons in the state legislature passed: the "birther" bill, which was designed specifically to try to exclude American citizen Barack Obama from the Arizona ballot in 2012, and a bill to allow guns on campuses.
So thanks, Gov. Brewer, from those of us on the sane side of the spectrum.

I agree. Why does conservative have to equal crazy!
I am a conservative who thinks the birther thing is wrong.
I carried a gun when I was in the Army. I will carry a weapon when hunting for food. I don't know why I should have the right to carry a gun on a college campus.
Again I have my guns locked in a safe with gun locks and the bolts removed.
I have a 2 year old daughter and an 18 month old grandson.
I am more worried about them.
Jeff thank you for your comments. I enjoy reading them.
